Open source. Yours to run.
Miqayel Fusion's app code is MIT licensed. The source adapters are code in the download; searchable databases stay on their providers' servers. The portable app runs Fusion, Agent, and Researcher without SearXNG or an API key.
Install Node.js 22.5 or newer separately for the built-in SQLite index. Chrome is optional for the browser workspace. Existing system installations need no second copy.

node server.jsThen open http://127.0.0.1:333/. Keep the terminal open.
Miqayel Fusion Lite
Upload a single HTML file to a static host and connect your domain. No Node process or Fusion backend runs for visitors. Lite searches a smaller set of browser-compatible public sources; the full Fusion edition above remains available with Agent, Researcher, and browser controls.

Miqayel Fusion No Restriction
Run a small local server that searches only your own index, with no requests to external search engines. It starts with cached Miqayel public pages and can import reviewed documents. Search coverage and index storage grow separately from the download.
Measuring this laptop's runtime and optional SearXNG installation…
The Full download contains connector code and the interface; its providers' indexes remain remote. The independent edition stores its imported index on your disk. Node.js, your browser, runtime data, and any AI model are separate. Package size is not a search-quality benchmark.
Full install guide ↗Local API reference ↗MIT license ↗Install locally, inspect the code, and use Fusion without a Miqayel key. Upstream provider rules still apply.
Miqayel can issue metered keys for a hosted deployment. Key authentication is implemented; public hosting, payments, and provider commercial rights need a separate launch.

Where Fusion looked
Find. Rank. Recheck. Send.
Fusion searches relevant direct sources, ranks for coverage and domain variety, then reopens public pages. If a page is unreadable or off topic, Fusion finds another. Only verified excerpts reach the AI packet.

Page rechecks establish reachability and text overlap. They do not prove factual correctness.
Every source, accounted for.
Miqayel Fusion searches verified sources directly. Blocked sources are skipped and shown with the reason.

Provider breadth is a catalog count, not a speed or relevance score. Fusion availability below comes from this laptop’s live checks. Wikipedia appears once: its adapter chooses a language from the query and uses the same Wikimedia service family.

Search evidence benchmark
Click any question below to edit it, or open the question editor. Custom questions run across Fusion, Agent search, this laptop’s SearXNG, and Tavily when a one-time key is supplied. Add an expected HTTPS page to score hit@10; without one, the question measures timing and results only. The fixed development suite guided routing fixes and is not a held-out evaluation.

Widest documented adapter catalog: SearXNG. Hosted agent and research API: Tavily. Local direct sources, checked evidence, and a controllable browser: Miqayel Fusion. The benchmark above measures this installation and shows Tavily only when its API responds.
Method and source notes: SearXNG configured engines · SearXNG JSON API · Tavily Search API · Tavily Research API · Tavily credits. SearXNG’s 261 is a project-wide catalog in the September 2026 documentation; Fusion counts are local and live, and multiple source indexes can share one upstream. Tavily does not publish an equivalent upstream provider count.

A provider with no published quota is not unlimited. These local checks skip blocks and pace requests; a laptop cannot serve 100 million simultaneous users.

One app, three workflows.
Fusion, Agent search, and Research share the same direct-source catalog and local server. Each uses a different search workflow. The separate SearXNG mode remains available for comparison.
Miqayel Fusion
Fast topic routing, merged links, and a short memory cache for everyday search.
Miqayel Agent
Plans source calls for AI clients, splits multi-topic requests, and returns ranked results and source status.
Researcher
Searches deeper, reopens public pages, replaces unreadable evidence, and prepares a source-linked AI packet.

Miqayel model: free MIT-licensed self hosting plus an owner planned hosted API at $3 per 1,000 calls. API key issuance and call credits are implemented locally. The service still binds to localhost; external hosting, payment collection, licensed upstream selection, and load testing are required before selling access. Public providers do not promise unlimited use.
